Easy and effective remedies for sore throat:
- Gargle: Gargle in the morning and in the evening with the mixture of 1 cup of hot water with ½ tsp of turmeric and salt mixed in it.
- Herbal Tea: Drink herbal tea made by steeping 1 tsp of ginger, cinnamon, licorice in 2:2:3 ratio for 5-10 minutes. Take it thrice a day.
- Drink 1 cup of hot milk boiled with ½ tsp turmeric. Note that this is the only dairy product permissible in condition of sore throat.

Foods to be avoided for sore throat:
- Dairy products like cheese, yogurt, ice cream
- Fermented Foods
Following the above-mentioned remedies will heal sore throat in most of the cases but if sore throat persists despite these remedies being done for a few days, you should then consult a medical professional.
